방위사업청(청장 석종건)이 11일, 정부대전청사 서북녹지에서 신축 청사 기공식을 성황리에 개최했다. 

이날 행사에는 이장우 대전광역시장과 서철모 서구청장을 비롯한 300여 명의 내빈과 일반 참석자들이 함께해 방사청의 대전 이전을 축하했다.

방사청의 대전 이전은 ‘첨단전력 건설과 방산수출 확대의 선순환 구조 마련’ 및 ‘공공기관 이전을 통한 지역 성장거점 육성’ 정책과 연계하여 추진되었다. 

이는 국가균형발전과 국방산업 경쟁력 강화를 도모하며, 지역 경제 활성화와 일자리 창출에도 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 기대된다.

신축 청사에는 약 2424억 원의 총사업비가 투입되며, 지하 2층에서 지상 21층까지의 규모로 건립될 예정이다. 

연면적은 59742.85㎡, 높이는 97.6m에 달한다. 

이번 사업은 설계와 시공을 일괄적으로 진행하며, 계룡건설컨소시엄이 실시설계 적격자로 선정되어 사업을 수행하고 있다.

공사는 올해 3월부터 터파기 위주의 우선 시공분 계약과 공사에 착수하여 9월까지 완료할 계획이다. 

현재 진행 중인 실시설계는 8월까지 마무리하고, 9월부터 본공사를 시작하여 2028년 6월 준공을 목표로 하고 있다. 신축 청사 완공 후에는 약 1600명의 방사청 직원이 대전으로 이전하여 근무할 예정이다.

방위사업청 신축 청사는 대전 시민들이 조화롭게 활용할 수 있도록 다양한 녹지 공간(입구광장 등)을 포함하여 건설될 계획이다. 

또한, 정부대전청사와 대전시 행정기관이 위치한 주변 환경과의 조화를 고려하여 설계하고, 안전성을 최우선으로 두고 공사를 진행할 예정이다.

석종건 방위사업청장은 “이번 기공식은 방위사업청의 대전 이전을 통해 국방과학기술 역량을 높이고 국가균형발전의 비전을 실현하기 위한 첫걸음”이라며, “방위산업 발전의 중추 기관인 방위사업청과 과학도시 대전광역시가 함께 성장하여, 우리 K-방산이 한 단계 더 도약할 수 있는 계기가 될 것”이라고 강조했다.

Defense Acquisition Program Administration Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Daejeon Building

The Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) (Director Seok Jong-geon) held a successful groundbreaking ceremony for its new building on the 11th at the northwest green space of the Daejeon Government Complex.

At the event, approximately 300 distinguished guests including Daejeon Mayor Lee Jang-woo and Seo-gu District Mayor Seo Cheol-mo and the general public attended to celebrate the relocation of the DAPA to Daejeon.

This project will proceed with design and construction in one go, and the Gyeryong Construction Consortium was selected as the qualified person for the detailed design and is carrying out the project.

The construction will begin with the priority construction contract and construction centered on excavation starting in March of this year and is scheduled to be completed by September.

The detailed design currently in progress will be completed by August, and the main construction will begin in September, with the goal of completion in June 2028. After the new building is completed, approximately 1,600 Defense Acquisition Program Administration employees will move to Daejeon and work there.
