조국혁신당이 지난 9일 45개 지역, 총 49명(공동위원장 포함)의 지역위원장을 1차로 선정했다고 밝힌 가운데, 대전 지역 위원장은 4명, 충남 지역 위원장은 2명을 각각 선정했다.

대전 지역위원장은 총 7개 지역위원 가운데 동구 윤종명 전 대전시의원, 중구 황운하 국회의원, 서구 유지곤 대전시당 대변인, 유성구 정기현 전 대전시의원을 선정했다.

충남 지역에서는 이공휘 현 충남도당위원장이 천안 지역위원장에 선정됐고, 김준환 전 현대자동차그룹 상품전략본부 차장이 공주시, 청양군, 부여군 지역위원장에 선정됐다.

이날 발표한 전국 지역위원장 현황을 보면 서울 9개 지역위원장 선정을 포함해 부산 1개, 대구 1개, 인천 1개, 광주 5개, 울산 2개, 경기 6개, 강원 1개, 전북 6개, 전남 5개, 경남 1개, 제주 1개 등 대전 충남을 포함, 전국 45개 지역위원장을 선정했다.

조국혁신당은 지역위원회 설치 단위를 2026년 제9회 전국동시지방선거에 대비하여 국회의원 선거구(254개)가 아닌 기초 지방자치단체 선거구 기준으로 정했으며, 인구 소수 지역만 국회의원 선거구를 준용했다고 발표했다.

조국혁신당은 신생 정당으로서 풀뿌리 지방조직 강화를 위해 지역위원장 선정을 매우 중요한 과제로 삼고, 당의 정체성 부합 여부, 참신성, 도덕성뿐만 아니라 지역 사회의 문제를 해결할 수 있는 능력과 공직선거 경쟁력 등의 심사 기준을 엄격히 적용해 결정했다고 밝혔다.

지역위원장 선정 절차는 후보자 공모, 서류 심사, 면접 심사 및 지역 여론 청취 등으로 진행되었다고 조국혁신당은 설명했다.

The Cho Kuk Reform Party selected Yoon Jong-myeong of Daejeon Dong-gu, Hwang Un-ha of Jung-gu, Yoo Ji-gon of Seo-gu, and Jeong Gi-hyeon of Yuseong-gu as regional committee chairs

The Cho Kuk Innovation Party announced that it decided to establish regional committee units based on local government election districts rather than National Assembly election districts (254) in preparation for the 9th simultaneous local elections in 2026, and that only areas with small populations were subject to National Assembly election districts.

The Cho Kuk Innovation Party stated that as a new party, it considered the selection of regional committee chairs a very important task in order to strengthen the grassroots local organization, and that it made the decision by strictly applying screening criteria such as whether they fit the party’s identity, originality, morality, as well as the ability to solve problems in the local community and competitiveness in public elections.
