충남 부여군(군수 박정현)이 농촌지역의 공중위생 향상과 수질환경 개선을 위한 하수처리구역 확대에 나선다. 

군은 남면 대선리, 옥산면 가덕리 및 내대리 일원에 공공하수도를 보급하기 위해 가덕·대선·내대지구 하수관로 설치사업을 본격적으로 추진한다고 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 총사업비 약 240억 원을 투입해 하수관로 18.22km와 맨홀 펌프장 11개소를 설치하고, 배수설비 475가구에 보급하는 대규모 인프라 확충 사업이다. 국·도비 183억 원이 투입되며, 오는 2025년 3월 착공해 2027년 초 준공을 목표로 진행된다.

군은 이번 사업을 통해 미보급 지역의 생활환경을 개선하고, 하천 수질오염 예방에 기여할 것으로 기대하고 있다. 특히 공공수역의 물환경 보호와 더불어 쾌적한 농촌 환경 조성에 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 보인다.

박정현 부여군수는 "공공하수도 보급은 주민의 삶의 질을 높이고 수질 보전에 필수적인 사업"이라며 "국도비 확보와 하수처리구역 확대를 위해 지속적인 노력을 기울이겠다"고 말했다.

한편, 부여군은 앞으로도 하수처리 기반시설 확충을 통해 깨끗하고 살기 좋은 농촌 환경 조성에 힘쓸 계획이다.
