충남 청양군이 지방소멸대응기금을 활용해 청년층의 주거 안정을 돕는 셰어하우스 ‘함께살아U’ 건립 사업을 본격 추진하고 있다. 

총사업비 61억 8천만 원이 투입되는 이번 사업은 2025년 12월 준공을 목표로 공사가 한창 진행 중이다.

‘함께살아U’는 청년층에게 안정적인 주거 환경을 제공함과 동시에 다양한 문화·교육 프로그램을 통해 지역사회와의 소통을 촉진하는 복합 공간으로 조성될 예정이다. 청년들은 경제적 부담을 덜면서 지역 공동체에 자연스럽게 녹아들 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

군은 현재 청년 셰어하우스 ‘블루쉽하우스’를 운영 중이며, 이곳에서는 창업 인큐베이팅 공간과 일자리정보센터가 함께 자리해 청년들의 취업과 창업 활동을 지원하고 있다.

청양군 관계자는 “청년들이 안정적인 주거 환경에서 생활할 수 있도록 다양한 지원책을 마련하고 있으며, 이번 ‘함께살아U’ 건립은 청년 유입과 지역 활성화에 큰 역할을 할 것”이라고 밝혔다. 

이어 “청년들이 지역 사회에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있도록 프로그램을 지속적으로 확대해 나갈 계획”이라고 덧붙였다.

청양군은 앞으로도 젊은 인구 유입을 위한 다양한 정책을 추진해 활기차고 지속 가능한 지역사회를 조성해 나갈 방침이다.
