일부 민원인들로 부터 위협 등을 받으면서 일선 행정기관 근무자들이 상시 위험에 노출돼 이에 대한 대책이 절실히 요구되고 있는 가운데, 대전 서구 갈마2동 행정복지센터가 19일, 공무원과 경찰 등 20여 명이 참여한 가운데 민원실에서 발생할 수 있는 비상 상황에 대비한 모의훈련을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 훈련은 민원인에 의한 폭언 및 폭행 등 비상 상황에 대비하여 민원 업무 담당 공무원의 현장 대응능력을 향상시키고, 방문 민원인의 피해를 예방하기 위해 마련됐다.

갈마2동 측은 이러한 위협 상황을 가정하여 상황별 대응 요령에 따른 대응반 운영과 안심벨의 정상 작동 여부 등을 점검했다. 또한, 갈마지구대와 협력하여 대응체계를 강화하고 추가적인 협력 방안을 논의하기도 했다.

윤지영 갈마2동장은 "이번 훈련을 통해 민원실의 비상 상황에 대한 대응력을 한층 강화할 수 있었다"며, “직원의 안전을 보장하고 안심하고 일할 수 있는 근무 환경을 조성하기 위해 더욱 노력하겠다"고 강조했다. 

이번 훈련은 민원실의 안전성을 높이고, 공무원과 민원인 모두의 안전을 확보하기 위한 중요한 첫걸음으로 평가받고 있다.
