민주평통 대전 대덕구협의회(회장 최재한)가 2월 19일 대덕종합사회복지관에서 관내 취약계층을 대상으로 북한이탈주민 명예자문위원과 함께 북한 음식을 직접 만들어 나눔 봉사를 실시했다고 전했다. 

이번 행사에는 어르신, 장애인, 지역 아동 등 약 200여 명이 참여했으며, 최충규 대덕구청장이 참석하여 인사말을 전하고 지역 사회의 따뜻한 연대와 나눔의 가치를 강조했다.

이번 북한 음식 나눔 봉사는 북한이탈주민과 자문위원이 함께 참여하여 서로를 이해하고 공동체의 일원으로 기여할 수 있는 기회를 제공하고 있다. 

지난 2024년 4월부터 시작된 이 나눔 봉사는 이번이 7번째로, 대덕구 지역사회 내에서 상호협력과 연대를 다지며 취약계층에 대한 따뜻한 배려를 실천하는 중요한 행사로 자리잡았다.

앞으로도 이 행사는 지역사회의 소외된 이웃들에게 도움의 손길을 내미는 기회로 지속될 예정이다.

민주평통 대덕구협의회는 전국 최초로 북한이탈주민 명예자문위원 제도를 도입하여, 북한이탈주민이 안정적으로 정착하고 대한민국과 하나가 되는 진정한 통일을 이루기 위해 노력하고 있다. 

최재한 협의회장은 북한이탈주민과 함께하는 사업을 지속적으로 추진하며, 멘토링 프로그램을 통해 이들이 따뜻한 이웃사촌으로 정착할 수 있도록 지원할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

Daejeon Daedeok-gu Council of the Democratic Peace Unification Advisory Council, North Korean Food Sharing Volunteer Service with North Korean Defectors

The Daejeon Daedeok-gu Council of the Democratic Peace Unification Advisory Council (Chairman Choi Jae-han) announced that on February 19, they held a volunteer service to make and share North Korean food with North Korean defectors and honorary advisory committee members at the Daedeok Community Welfare Center for vulnerable groups in the district.

Approximately 200 people, including seniors, the disabled, and local children, participated in this event, and Daedeok-gu Mayor Choi Chung-gyu attended to deliver a welcoming speech and emphasized the warm solidarity and value of sharing in the local community.

This North Korean food sharing service provides an opportunity for North Korean defectors and advisory committee members to participate together to understand each other and contribute as members of the community.

This sharing service, which began in April 2024, is now in its 7th year, and has become an important event that fosters mutual cooperation and solidarity within the Daedeok-gu community and practices warm consideration for vulnerable groups.

Going forward, this event will continue to be an opportunity to lend a helping hand to the underprivileged in the community.

The Daedeok District Council of the Democratic Peace Unification Advisory Council is the first in the country to introduce the North Korean defector honorary advisory committee system, and is striving to achieve true unification where North Korean defectors can settle down stably and become one with the Republic of Korea.

Council Chairman Choi Jae-han announced that he plans to continue to promote projects with North Korean defectors and support them through mentoring programs so that they can settle down as warm neighbors.
