충남 천안시가 미세먼지 저감 및 탄소중립 실현을 위해 상반기 동안 전기자동차 750대에 대한 구매보조금을 지원한다고 19일 밝혔다. 

이번 지원은 전기 승용차 500대와 전기 화물차 250대에 대해 이루어지며, 승용차 신청은 20일부터, 화물차 신청은 3월 11일부터 시작된다. 신청 기간은 6월 27일까지이나, 예산 소진 시 조기 마감될 수 있다.

지원 대상은 신청서 접수일 기준으로 90일 이상 천안시에 주소를 둔 개인 또는 법인·기관(공공)이다. 신청 방법은 전기자동차 제조판매사 영업점을 방문하여 차량 구매 계약을 체결한 후 지원신청서를 제출하면 된다. 

올해 상반기 전기자동차 기본 보조금은 전기 승용차에 대해 최대 1280만 원, 전기 화물차에 대해서는 최대 1950만 원까지 지원된다.

천안시는 최근 3년 동안 전기차 구입 보조금 지원 현황을 통해 전기차 보급 확대에 힘쓰고 있다. 

2022년에는 600대의 전기차에 대해 보조금을 지원하였고, 2023년에는 800대에 대한 지원을 통해 전기차 구매를 장려했다. 

이러한 노력은 미세먼지 저감과 탄소중립 목표 달성을 위한 중요한 일환으로, 천안시는 지속적으로 전기차 보급을 확대하고 있다.
