충남 태안군에서 마을 주민들이 함께 만드는 특별한 문화예술축제가 열려 큰 관심을 모았다. 

지난 15일 태안읍 반곡2리 마을회관에서 반곡2리 마을회 주관으로 개최된 ‘느르물 문화예술축제’는 150여 명의 주민들이 참여한 가운데 성황리에 마무리됐다.

이번 축제는 마을 고유의 문화를 재현하고 공동체의 화합을 도모하기 위한 행사로, 올해 처음으로 개최되었다. 

오전에는 지신밟기 길놀이와 느르물 문화예술단의 공연이 진행되었으며, 오후에는 윷놀이와 소원지 작성 등 마을 화합대회가 열렸다. 

저녁에는 달집태우기와 쥐불놀이 등 대보름 행사가 마련되어 축제의 화려함을 더했다.

반곡2리 주민들은 “우리가 직접 만든 축제가 큰 호응 속에 성공적으로 개최돼 기쁘다”며, “축제를 준비하면서 이웃들과 많은 시간을 공유하고 더 가까워진 것 같아 만족스럽다”는 반응을 보였다.

이 사업은 농촌 지역 마을의 활성화를 목표로 하며, 마을 역량에 맞는 단계별 지원을 통해 마을 공동체를 체계적으로 발전시키고자 추진된다.

지난해 공모에 선정된 반곡2리 주민들은 태안군공동체통합지원센터에서 진행된 마을대학과 마을 동아리 지원 사업을 통해 공동체의 소통과 단합을 위한 문화예술의 중요성을 깨닫고 ‘느르물 풍물단’을 조직·운영해왔다. 

이번 느르물 문화예술축제를 성공적으로 마무리한 반곡2리 주민들은 ‘신명 나는 행복 문화 마을 반곡2리’라는 비전 아래 앞으로도 ‘주민참여 마을 경관 가꾸기’와 ‘문화예술동아리 양성’ 등 다양한 프로그램을 추진해 ‘행복한 마을’ 조성에 앞장설 계획이다.

군 관계자는 “마을만들기 활동을 통해 역량을 쌓아 온 마을 주민들이 자체 축제를 성공적으로 개최해 기쁘다”며, “주민들의 화합과 소통 속에 모두가 함께 가꾸는 마을공동체로 성장하길 바라며, 군에서도 주민 삶의 질 향상을 위한 다양한 노력을 기울이겠다”고 전했다.
