대전 중구가 지역 내 소비 촉진과 소상공인 지원을 강화하기 위해 ‘중구사랑상품권’ 시스템 구축을 본격적으로 시작했다고 13일 밝혔다.

이번 시스템 구축은 3개월 내 완료될 예정이며, 운영 대행사 선정 절차를 거쳐 오는 6월 말 중구사랑상품권 '중구통(通)'을 발행할 계획이다. 

대전 중구에 따르면 '중구통(通)'은 중구에서만 사용 가능한 지역사랑상품권으로, 지역 경제 활성화를 목적으로 발행된다.

중구는 이번 시스템 구축을 통해 상품권의 발행 및 유통 과정이 더욱 효율적으로 운영될 예정이며, 모바일 앱 기반의 QR코드를 활용한 방식으로 사용될 계획이다. 

또한, 시스템 구축과 동시에 가맹점 모집 및 홍보활동도 적극적으로 추진할 방침이다. 다수의 가맹점을 확보하여 주민들이 '중구통(通)'을 편리하게 사용할 수 있도록 온·오프라인을 통한 다양한 방법으로 가맹점 가입을 독려할 예정이다.

김제선 중구청장은 “중구사랑상품권 '중구통(通)'이 지역 내 소비를 촉진하고 소상공인에게 실질적인 도움이 되도록 시스템을 철저히 구축하겠다.”라며 “앞으로도 지역 주민과 소상공인이 함께 성장할 수 있는 정책을 지속적으로 추진할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
