대전교통공사가 교통약자이동지원센터의 ‘대전시 임산부 이동지원 서비스, 무브메이트’를 구축하여 이용자들로부터 큰 호평을 받고 있다고 밝혔다.

기존에는 임산부가 장애인 바우처 택시만 이용해야 했고, 이로 인해 다른 장애인 고객과 중복되는 경우 대기시간이 길어질 수 있었다. 그러나 ‘무브메이트’ 서비스는 임산부가 대기시간 없이 일반택시를 이용하면서도 임산부 이동지원 서비스 혜택을 누릴 수 있도록 개선되었다.

‘무브메이트’ 서비스는 대전시에 거주하는 임산부들의 교통 접근성을 강화하기 위해 대전교통공사 대전교통약자이동지원센터, 대전시, 한국과학기술정보연구원(KISTI), 하나카드 등과 협력하여 2024년 4월부터 정식 운영되고 있다. 

현재까지 등록회원 수는 4066명이며, 이용 건수는 4233건에 육박하는 성과를 거두었다. 이용 고객들의 만족도가 매우 높아 재이용 실적도 높은 편으로, 한 회원당 평균 12.2회 이용하고 있다.

‘무브메이트’를 이용하기 위해서는 대전교통약자이동지원센터에 임산부로 등록되어야 하며, 본인 명의의 휴대전화와 지역화폐(대전사랑카드)가 필요하다. 

이용 방법은 임산부가 택시 탑승 후 승차 인증을 하고, 목적지 도착 후 지역화폐로 결제 및 하차 인증(30분 이내)을 진행하면 택시요금의 75%가 바우처 지원금으로 적립된다. 

대전교통공사는 ‘무브메이트’ 서비스가 임산부들에게 보다 나은 이동 편의를 제공하고, 교통약자의 이동권을 보장하는 데 기여할 것으로 기대하고 있다.
