대전시가 민선 8기 100대 핵심과제 중 하나로 설정한 ‘보문산권역 산림복지·휴양단지 조성사업’의 첫 단계를 공식적으로 시작했다.

17일, 대전시에 따르면 산림청의 국유림위원회와 중앙 산지관리위원회의 전문가 심의를 거쳐 보문산권역을 자연휴양림으로 지정했다고 밝혔다. 

앞서 대전시는 지난 2022년부터 추진해온 산림휴양단지 조성 계획의 일환으로, 지난해 11월 산림청에 자연휴양림 지정 신청을 한 바 있다.

이번 사업은 약 296만㎡ 규모의 부지에 생애주기별 숲 체험이 가능한 다양한 산림휴양시설을 조성하는 것으로, 총 800억 원의 시비가 투입될 예정이다. 

중구 목달동에서 구완동에 이르는 천혜의 산림자원을 활용하여 태교숲, 탄생숲, 유아숲, 숲체험원, 산림욕장, 반려인숲, 산림경영숲 등 다양한 시설이 마련될 계획이다. 

이를 통해 시민들은 생태자원과 연계된 다양한 숲체험 프로그램을 통해 산림휴양문화의 중요성을 배우고 체험할 수 있는 기회를 갖게 된다.

대전시는 우선적으로 행정절차를 이행하여 1단계 공사를 2025년 3월 중 착공하고, 2026년까지 준공할 예정이다. 이후 추가적인 행정절차를 통해 2028년까지 보문산 프르내 자연휴양림 조성을 완료할 방침이다.

또한, 휴양림 조성과 함께 목달동 일대의 도로 확장 공사도 병행하여, 휴양림 이용객의 편의성을 높이고 인근 주민들의 교통복지도 개선할 계획이다. 

대전시는 이번 사업을 통해 시민들에게 보다 나은 산림휴양 환경을 제공하고, 지역 경제 활성화에도 기여할 것으로 기대하고 있다.

Daejeon City, Bomunsan Area Forest Welfare and Recreation Complex Development Project Begins in Full Swing

Daejeon City officially began the first phase of the ‘Bomunsan Area Forest Welfare and Recreation Complex Development Project’, which was set as one of the 100 key tasks of the 8th local government.

According to Daejeon City on the 17th, the Bomunsan area was designated as a natural recreation forest after expert deliberation by the National Forest Committee and the Central Mountain Management Committee of the Korea Forest Service.

As part of the forest recreation complex development plan that has been promoted since 2022, Daejeon City applied for the designation of a natural recreation forest to the Korea Forest Service in November of last year.

This project will create various forest recreation facilities where you can experience the forest according to your life cycle on a site of approximately 2.96 million m2, and a total of 80 billion won will be invested.

Various facilities such as prenatal education forests, birth forests, infant forests, forest experience centers, forest bathing areas, companion forests, and forest management forests will be built utilizing the natural forest resources from Mokdal-dong to Guwan-dong in Jung-gu.

Through this, citizens will have the opportunity to learn about and experience the importance of forest recreation culture through various forest experience programs linked to ecological resources.

Daejeon City will first carry out administrative procedures and begin the first phase of construction in March 2025 and complete it by 2026. After that, it plans to complete the creation of Bomunsan Purnae Natural Recreation Forest by 2028 through additional administrative procedures.

In addition, along with the creation of the recreation forest, it plans to carry out road expansion construction in the Mokdal-dong area in order to increase the convenience of recreation forest users and improve the transportation welfare of nearby residents.

Daejeon City expects that this project will provide citizens with a better forest recreation environment and contribute to the revitalization of the local economy.
