대전서부경찰서가 중고거래 사이트에서 사기를 벌인 A씨(남, 26세)를 검거했다고 밝혔다.

대전서부경찰서 수사과장(경정 양승태)은 “설 명절을 앞두고 중고물품 거래 사기가 증가할 것으로 예상되므로, 입금 전 직접 만나 물품의 진위 여부를 확인하거나 터무니없이 저렴한 가격의 물품에 대해서는 각별한 주의가 필요하다”고 피해 예방을 당부했다. 

이번 사건은 중고거래의 안전성을 다시 한번 점검하게 하는 계기가 될 것으로 보인다. 경찰은 앞으로도 중고거래 사기 예방을 위한 홍보와 단속을 강화할 계획이다.
