충남도의회 ‘충청남도 공주의료원 원장 후보자 인사청문특별위원회’(이하 특별위원회)는 10일 제1차 회의를 개최하고, 위원장에 김민수 의원(비례‧더불어민주당), 부위원장에 박미옥 의원(비례‧국민의힘)을 각각 선임했다.

특별위원회는 지난해 12월 16일 열린 제356회 임시회 제4차 본회의에서 구성결의안이 의결됨에 따라 총 12명의 의원을 위원으로 선임하였으며, 이달 20일 권순행 공주의료원 원장 후보자(現 유성선병원 인공관절센터장)에 대한 인사청문회를 개최할 예정이다.

공주의료원은 충남도 서남부권의 공공의료를 책임지는 중추적인 의료기관으로, 감염병 대응과 의료 취약계층 진료에 핵심적인 역할을 수행하고 있다. 

특별위원회는 원장 후보자 인사청문회를 통해 공공의료에 대한 전문성, 경영 능력, 도덕성 등을 철저히 검증하여 공주의료원 발전을 이끌어갈 적임자인지를 면밀히 살펴볼 계획이다.

김민수 인사특위 위원장은 “공주의료원은 지역 주민의 건강을 책임지는 중요한 공공의료기관”이라며 “후보자가 지역 의료 불균형 해소와 공공의료 강화를 위한 비전과 실행력을 갖추었는지, 또한 의료원의 재정 건전성 확보를 위한 경영 능력을 보유하고 있는지 종합적으로 검증하겠다”고 강조했다.

특별위원회는 '충청남도의회 인사청문 조례'에 따라 인사청문회 이후 공주의료원장 후보자에 대한 검증 내용을 담은 인사청문 경과보고서를 충남도지사에게 송부할 예정이다.

Chungnam Provincial Assembly, Gongju Medical Center Director Candidate Personnel Hearing Special Committee Formed

The Chungnam Provincial Assembly's 'Chungcheongnam-do Gongju Medical Center Director Candidate Personnel Hearing Special Committee' (hereinafter referred to as the Special Committee) held its first meeting on the 10th and appointed Rep.
