국민의힘 대전광역시당이 10일 당의 주축인 여성위원장과 청년위원장에 대한 당직 인선을 단행했다고 밝혔다.

이상민 시당위원장은 “나라가 힘들고 어려운 상황이지만, 당의 가치와 강령을 제대로 이해하고 활동하는 인사들이 당의 문턱을 넘고 활발하게 활동함으로써 지역사회와 국가 발전에 디딤돌이 되어야 한다”며 이번 당직 인선의 배경을 설명했다. 

그는 또한 “대전과 대한민국의 발전을 위해 좋은 인재 영입에 더욱 더 박차를 가하겠다”고 강조했다.

임양 신임 여성위원장은 “사회와 대전의 글로벌한 발전을 위해 여성 평등과 보육 정책에 중점을 두고 활동해 나가겠다”고 소신을 밝혔다. 

전찬규 신임 청년위원장은 “‘청년이 살아야 나라가 산다’는 기치 아래, 청년 정치의 초석을 다지고 미래 인재를 발굴하는 데 주력하겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다.

이번 인선은 대전광역시당의 여성과 청년의 목소리를 더욱 강화하고, 지역 사회의 발전을 위한 새로운 방향성을 제시하는 계기가 될 것으로 기대된다.
