제127차 충남 시·군의회의장협의회(협의회장 김경제) 정례회가 10일 오전 11시 아산시의회(의장 홍성표) 다목적회의실에서 개최되었다고 아산시의회가 전했다.

이번 정례회는 아산시의회 주관으로 진행되었으며, 홍성표 의장을 비롯한 아산시의원들과 충남도의 시·군의회 의장들이 참석하여 지방자치 발전을 위한 논의를 이어갔다.

특히 이번 정례회에서는 ‘지방의회 예산 심의기능 강화를 위한 예산안 제출 관련 자치법규 내 재규정 및 제출시기 조정 제안의 건’이 상정되어, 홍성표 의장의 제안 설명 후 가결되었다.

김경제 협의회장은 개회사를 통해 “아산시에서 올해 첫 정례회를 개최하게 되어 의미가 깊다”며, “민선 9기가 얼마 남지 않았는데, 그 안에 우리 의장님들과 시·군협의회, 시·군의회가 서로 협력하고 화합하여 좋은 결과물을 만들기를 바란다”고 전했다.

홍성표 의장은 환영사에서 “충남도의 각 시·군이 함께하는 이번 정례회가 충남도의 역량 강화를 위한 중요한 자리가 되길 바란다”며, “이번 회의를 통해 각 시·군의회가 유기적인 협력체계를 더욱 공고히 다질 수 있기를 기대한다”고 말했다.

한편, 충남 시·군의회의장협의회는 지방자치 발전을 위한 협력과 소통의 중요성을 강조하며, 지방의회의 역량 강화와 지역 현안 해결을 위한 적극적인 논의를 지속적으로 이어갈 계획이다. 

다음 정례회는 2월에 서산시에서 개최될 예정이다.
