대전 동구가 9일부터 다음 달 2일까지 상소문화공원 잔디광장(동구 산내로 748)에서 가족과 함께 즐길 수 있는 ‘어린이 눈썰매장’을 운영한다고 밝혔다. 

9일 개장식에는 박희조 동구청장과 오관영 동구의회 의장을 비롯한 관계자들이 참석했으며, 방학을 맞은 아이들과 가족들로 성황을 이뤘다.

이번 눈썰매장은 도심 속 특별한 겨울 체험과 즐거움을 제공하기 위해 마련되었으며, 지난해 첫 운영 당시 주민들의 큰 호응을 얻은 데 힘입어 올해는 다양한 프로그램과 시설을 확충해 더욱 풍성하게 준비됐다.

운영 시간은 매주 월요일 휴무를 제외하고, 1회차는 오전 10시부터 12시 30분까지, 2회차는 오후 1시 30분부터 4시까지로 나눠 운영된다. 

안전 점검을 위해 1회차 종료 후 전원 퇴장한 뒤 선착순으로 재입장이 이뤄진다.

눈썰매장은 유아와 초등학생을 동반한 가족을 대상으로 운영되며, 유아와 초등학생은 무료로 이용 가능하다. 성인 보호자는 1,000원의 입장료를 납부하면 입장할 수 있다.

박희조 동구청장은 “지난해 주민들로부터 큰 사랑을 받았던 어린이 눈썰매장을 올해는 더 풍성하게 준비했다”며 “다양한 프로그램과 안전하고 쾌적한 환경 속에서 많은 가족들이 즐거운 겨울 추억을 쌓으시길 바란다”고 말했다.
