김지철 충남교육감이 9일, 도교육청 1회의실에서 2025 신년 기자회견을 열고, ‘지난 1년간의 성과와 올해 12대 중점 추진 과제’를 발표했다.

먼저 김 교육감은 “묵묵히 최선을 다해준 3만여 교직원의 노력과 협조 덕분에 좋은 성과를 거둘 수 있었다”라며 지난해 도민들이 보내준 변함없는 관심과 성원에 감사를 표했다.

특히 미래형 학교 전환을 위한 공간 재구조화와 학교복합시설 구축사업을 추진하여 학교공간조성 사업을 펼쳤으며, 아산 산동초 등 5개 학교를 신설하여 과밀학급 해소에도 노력했다고 밝혔다.

김 교육감은 이러한 노력의 결과로 충남교육청은 지난해 교육감 공약이행 평가에서 3년 연속 최고등급, 전국 시도교육청 평가 최우수 교육청 선정, 감사원의 감사활동 평가 3년 연속 A등급, 지방교육재정 분석 최우수 교육청 선정 등을 달성하는 쾌거를 이뤘다고 평가했다.
