대전시가 지난해 민간 대형건축공사장(86개소)에서 지역업체의 하도급 실태를 분석한 결과, 총 수주액이 2조 9321억 원에 달하며 하도급률은 66%로 나타났다. 

이는 2023년 대비 ,749억 원 상승한 수치로, 하도급률은 2023년 수준을 유지하고 있다.

2024년 4분기에는 건설 현장 수가 감소했음에도 불구하고, 전 분기 대비 하도급률은 0.6% 상승하며 순 실적은 1504억 원 증가한 5147억 원을 기록했다. 

특히, 둔산동 오피스텔(대우건설), 성남1구역 정비사업(우미건설), 봉명동 힐스테이트유성(현대건설), 대흥2구역 정비사업(KCC건설), 문화8구역 정비사업(SK에코플랜트) 등에서 지역업체가 주요 공정을 수주한 것이 두드러진 성과로 평가받고 있다.

대전시는 그동안 건설사와의 소통을 강화하고 본사 임원과의 면담 및 간담회를 통해 지역업체 참여의 필요성을 적극적으로 피력해왔다. 또한, 하도급 실적이 낮은 사업장을 중심으로 지속적인 현장 점검을 실시하고 개선 노력을 촉구해왔다.

대전시 관계자는 "건설경기 어려움을 극복하고 지역업체 참여를 확대하기 위한 방안으로 건설사와 분기 정례적인 간담회를 개최하고, 시-구 및 품질점검단 전문가와 함께 현장 점검을 강화해 많은 지역업체에 도움이 되도록 적극 지원할 계획"이라고 밝혔다. 

이러한 노력들이 지역 건설업체의 경쟁력을 높이고, 지역 경제 활성화에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
