충남지역 출생아 수가 최근 수년간 지속 감소하면서 지난 2023년 1만 명 이하의 출생아 수를 기록해 최저점을 기록했던 충남지역 출생아 수가 지난 2024년 1만 명대를 회복했다.

충남도는 지난해부터 ‘힘쎈충남 풀케어 돌봄정책’을 추진하고 있고, 출생아 수 증가는 ‘풀케어 돌봄정책’의 지원이 큰 역할을 한 것으로 충남도는 분석하고 있다.

지난해 12월 기준 행정안전부 주민등록인구 출생아 현황에 따르면 충남도내 출생아 수가 1만 10명으로 집계돼 전년 9586명 대비 424명 늘어나 4.42%의 증가율을 기록했다고 9일 밝혔다.

충남도의 출생아 수 증가율은 전국 평균 출생아 수 증가율 3.1%를 웃도는 수치로, 이는 전국 17개 시도 중 인천·대구·전남·서울·세종에 이은 6위, 도부 순위로는 2위에 해당한다.

최근 충남도내 출생아 수는 2019년 1만 3228명, 2020년 1만 1950명, 2021년 1만 984명, 2022년 1만 221명, 2023년 9436명으로 꾸준히 감소해 왔으나 지난해 다시 1만 명 이상으로 회복했으며, 출생신고 기간을 고려하면 더 늘어날 것으로 예상된다.

충남도는 출생아 수 증가 요인으로 지난해 4월부터 도정 역점과제로 추진 중인 힘쎈충남 풀케어 돌봄정책을 꼽았다.

힘쎈충남 풀케어 돌봄정책은 2026년 합계 출산율 1.0명 달성을 위해 ‘아이를 낳으면 성인이 될 때까지 책임지는 충남 구현’을 목표로 추진하고 있는 저출생 극복 정책이다. 

‘힘쎈충남 풀케어 돌봄정책’ 주요 내용은 365×24 어린이집, 돌봄센터 운영 ,전국 최초 공공부문 주 4일 출근제 ,임산부, 유·아동 동반 패스트트랙 ,임신·출산 가구 주택 특별공급 비율 확대 ,출산·육아 우수기업 선정·지원 등이다.
