대전시가 새해부터 전세사기 피해자의 주거 안정을 위해 전세사기 피해자 지원사업을 본격적으로 추진한다고 밝혔다. 

이번 사업은 전세사기 피해자들이 안정적인 주거 환경을 확보할 수 있도록 다양한 지원을 제공하는 것을 목표로 추진한다는 게 대전시의 설명이다.

지원 대상은 특별법상 전세사기 피해자로 인정받은 임차인으로, 피해자 결정일 기준 대전에 주민등록이 되어 있으며 피해주택의 소재지가 대전이어야 한다. 

피해 지원 대상자에 선정된 피해자들에게는 주거안정지원금과 공공임대주택 이사비용 등  최대 100만 원을 지원하고, 경매로 인해 민간주택으로 퇴거한 경우 최대 480만 원의 월세를 지원한다.

대전시는 특히, 올해 신청인의 편의를 위해 제출 서류를 간소화했다. 

주민등록등본은 공통으로 필요하며, 이사비를 신청하려는 경우에는 공공주택 임대차계약서 사본, 이사계약서 및 영수증을 제출해야 한다. 월세 지원을 신청하는 경우에는 임대차계약서 사본(확정일자 날인)과 월세 이체 내역서를 추가로 제출해야 한다.

대전시는 이번 지원사업을 통해 전세사기 피해자들이 보다 나은 주거 환경을 조성할 수 있도록 지속적으로 노력할 것이라고 전했다. 

한편, 대전시 전세사기 피해자는 지난해 12월 말 기준 3106명이다. 

대전시는 이 가운데 1273명에게 10억 원의 피해 지원금을 지급했고, 올해는 32억 원의 예산을 증액 편성하여 피해자를 더욱 두텁고 촘촘하게 보호한다는 방침이다.
