대전시 민생사법경찰과는 지난해 11월부터 약 2개월간 진행한 기획 수사를 통해 약사법을 위반한 약국 3곳을 적발했다고 2일 밝혔다. 

이번 수사는 안전한 의약품 유통과 시민 건강권 보호를 목표로 진행 했다는게 대전시의 설명이다.

적발된 위반 내용은 총 3건으로, 사용(유효)기한이 경과한 의약품을 판매 목적으로 저장·진열한 사례가 2건, 사용(유효)기한이 경과한 의약품을 판매 및 저장·진열한 사례가 1건이다. 모든 위반 업소는 약국으로 확인되었다.

적발된 A 약국은 사용(유효)기한이 지난 일반의약품 1종과 전문의약품 7종 등 총 8종을 판매 목적으로 저장·진열하다가 적발되었으며, 이 중 가장 오래된 의약품은 적발일 기준으로 약 2년 5개월이 지난 것으로 나타났다. 

B 약국도 사용(유효)기한이 지난 일반의약품 2종과 전문의약품 6종을 조제실 내에서 보관하고 있다가 적발되었고, C 약국은 사용(유효)기한이 지난 전문의약품 9종을 판매 목적으로 저장·진열하였으며, 이 중 3종은 실제로 판매된 사실이 약국 조제시스템을 통해 확인되었다.

특히, 이번에 적발된 전문의약품은 의사 또는 치과의사의 전문적인 진단과 지시·감독 하에 사용되어야 하는 의약품으로, 부작용의 우려가 크기 때문에 더욱 주의가 필요하다.

약사법에 따르면, 사용(유효)기한이 지난 의약품을 판매하거나 판매 목적으로 저장·진열한 경우에는 1년 이하의 징역형 또는 1천만 원 이하의 벌금에 처해질 수 있다.

대전시는 이번 사건에 연루된 업체 관계자들을 형사입건 후 검찰에 송치하고, 해당 자치구에 행정처분을 요청할 계획이다. 

또한 시민들의 건강과 안전을 위해 지속적인 단속을 강화할 방침이다.
