대전광역시 서구의회 야당 의원 11인이 13일 오전 서구청 광장에서 윤석열 대통령의 즉각적인 탄핵을 위해 국민의힘의 동참을 촉구하는 성명을 발표했다.

이들은 지난 7일 국회 본회의에 상정된 윤석열 대통령 탄핵안이 정족수 미달로 폐기된 것에 대해 “민주주의 후퇴”라고 비판하며, “국민과 역사 앞에 더 이상 죄를 짓지 않기를 바란다”고 강조했다. 또한, 이들은 14일 탄핵안 가결에 동참할 것을 촉구했다.

서구의회 조규식 의장은 성명 발표 후 “지난 며칠간 은하수네거리를 가득 채우며 윤석열 탄핵을 촉구하는 대전 시민들, 특히 10·20 청년들의 울분에 찬 목소리를 들었다”며, “어른이자 민주주의의 한 역할인 지방의원으로서 청년들에게 미안한 마음과 함께 한 목소리로 탄핵될 때까지 힘을 보태기 위해 성명을 내게 되었다”고 밝혔다.

덧붙여, 대전광역시 서구의회는 오는 12월 16일 월요일에 예정된 제286회 제2차 정례회 제3차 본회의에서 ‘불법 계엄 선포 내란수괴 윤석열 대통령 탄핵 촉구 결의안’을 상정할 계획이라고 전했다.

11 members of Daejeon Seo-gu Council release statement urging participation in impeachment of President

On the morning of the 13th, 11 opposition members of Daejeon Seo-gu Council released a statement urging the People Power Party to join in the immediate impeachment of President Yoon Seok-yeol at the Seo-gu Office Plaza.
