충남대학교가 세계적인 연구중심 대학으로의 도약을 위해 추진하고 있는 ‘4단계 두뇌한국(BK)21사업’의 재선정 평가에서 4개의 교육연구단이 선정되었다고 밝혔다.

교육부와 한국연구재단은 지난 12월 12일, 4단계 BK21사업 혁신인재양성사업 재선정평가의 예비 결과를 발표했다. 

충남대는 이번 평가에서 신청한 4개 교육연구단 모두가 선정되었으며, 교육부는 오는 23일까지 재선정평가에 대한 이의신청을 받고, 내년 2월에 최종 결과를 발표할 예정이다.

이번 재선정 평가를 통해 충남대는 총 28개의 교육연구단·팀을 운영하게 되며, 이는 대학의 연구 역량을 더욱 강화하는 계기가 될 것으로 기대된다. 

연구재단은 이번 중간평가를 두 단계로 진행하여 205개의 연구단을 지원하기로 결정했으며, 성과 평가에서 하위 33.3%에 해당하는 67개 연구단은 탈락하고, 이후 재선정 평가를 통해 71개 연구단이 선정되었다.

선정된 205개 연구단은 내년 3월부터 2027년 8월까지 대학원생 연구장학금, 신진연구인력 인건비, 교육과정 개발비, 연구 활동 지원비, 국제화 경비 등 다양한 운영비를 지원받아 세계적인 수준의 연구 환경을 조성할 예정이다.

충남대 김정겸 총장은 “이번 4단계 BK21사업 혁신인재양성사업 재선정 평가에서 4개의 교육연구단이 선정된 것은 충남대가 혁신 인재 양성에서 차별화된 경쟁력을 보유하고 있음을 입증하는 것”이라며, “앞으로도 국가와 지역 발전을 선도할 우수 인재를 지속적으로 배출하겠다”고 강조했다. 

충남대의 이번 성과는 연구 중심 대학으로서의 위상을 더욱 높이는 계기가 될 것으로 기대된다.

Chungnam National University Selects 4 Educational Research Groups in BK21 Project Innovation Talent Development Project Reselection Evaluation

Chungnam National University announced that 4 educational research groups were selected in the reselection evaluation of the ‘4th Stage Brain Korea (BK) 21 Project’ that it is promoting to leap forward as a world-class research-oriented university.

On December 12, the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea announced the preliminary results of the 4th Stage BK21 Project Innovation Talent Development Project Reselection Evaluation.

Chungnam National University selected all 4 educational research groups that applied for this evaluation, and the Ministry of Education will accept objections to the reselection evaluation until the 23rd and will announce the final results in February next year.

Through this reselection evaluation, Chungnam National University will operate a total of 28 educational research groups and teams, which is expected to serve as an opportunity to further strengthen the university’s research capabilities.

The research foundation decided to support 205 research groups through this interim evaluation in two stages, and 67 research groups, which were in the bottom 33.3% of the performance evaluation, were eliminated, and 71 research groups were selected through a subsequent re-selection evaluation.
