대전시교육청은 교육부가 주최하고 한국과학창의재단이 주관하는 ‘2024년 AI‧정보교육 중심학교 우수 운영사례 공모전’에서 대전삼성초등학교 한성면 교사, 대전동화중학교 정재웅 교사, 대전이문고등학교 황유리 교사가 총 3명의 우수상을 수상했다고 밝혔다.

이번 공모전은 전국 664개교의 AI·정보교육 중심학교에서 운영된 사례 중 AI·정보교육 활성화 및 우수 운영사례를 선정하여 시상하는 행사로, 총 10점이 선정되었다.

대전 지역에서는 초, 중, 고등학교에서 각각 1점씩 총 3점의 우수상을 차지하며, 지역 교육의 우수성을 입증했다.

수상한 운영사례는 다음과 같다. 대전삼성초등학교의 한성면 교사는 ‘사계절 TOWN 프로젝트로 AI융합 역량 키우기’라는 주제로, 교사, 학생, 학부모, 지역 사회가 연계된 AI 프로젝트 활동을 통해 학생들의 AI 융합 역량을 키우는 데 기여했다. 

대전동화중학교의 정재웅 교사는 ‘세계를 선도하는 AI리더 스쿨’이라는 프로그램을 통해 전교생에게 AI·정보교육의 기회를 확대하며, 학생들의 AI 이해도를 높였다. 

대전이문고등학교의 황유리 교사는 ‘함께 성장해가는 인공지능 미래교육’이라는 주제로 지역 내 초·중등 교사들과 외부 공동체의 협력을 통해 교사들의 전문성과 협력을 강화하는 데 중점을 두었다.

우수 사례로 선정된 운영사례와 수업자료는 편집을 통해 대전 교수학습 지원센터에 탑재될 예정이며, 이를 통해 다른 학교에서도 AI·정보교육의 우수 사례를 참고하고 활용할 수 있는 기회를 제공할 계획이다. 

대전시교육청은 이번 수상을 통해 AI·정보교육의 중요성을 강조하며, 앞으로도 지속적인 교육 혁신과 발전을 위해 노력할 것이라고 밝혔다.

Daejeon Office of Education Wins Excellence Award at AI‧Information Education Operation Case Contest

Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that three Excellence Awards were given to teachers: Hanseong-myeon from Daejeon Samsung Elementary School, Jae-woong Jeong from Daejeon Donghwa Middle School, and Yu-ri Hwang from Daejeon Imun High School, at the ‘2024 AI‧Information Education Centered School Excellence Operation Case Contest’ hosted by the Ministry of Education and organized by the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity.

This contest is an event that selects and awards AI‧Information Education Activation and Excellence Operation Cases from among the cases operated by 664 AI‧Information Education Centered Schools nationwide, and a total of 10 cases were selected.

In the Daejeon area, 3 Excellence Awards were given, 1 each from elementary, middle, and high schools, proving the excellence of local education.

The award-winning operation cases are as follows. Daejeon Samsung Elementary School’s Hanseong-myeon teacher contributed to developing students’ AI convergence capabilities through AI project activities that involved teachers, students, parents, and the local community under the theme of ‘Developing AI convergence capabilities through the Four Seasons TOWN Project.’

Daejeon Donghwa Middle School’s Jeong Jae-woong teacher expanded AI and information education opportunities to all students through a program called ‘World-Leading AI Leader School,’ and increased students’ understanding of AI.

Daejeon Imun High School’s Hwang Yu-ri teacher focused on strengthening teachers’ expertise and cooperation through collaboration with elementary and middle school teachers in the region and external communities under the theme of ‘Future AI education that grows together.’

The operation cases and teaching materials selected as best practices will be edited and uploaded to the Daejeon Teaching and Learning Support Center, and through this, other schools will have the opportunity to refer to and utilize best practices in AI and information education.

Through this award, the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education emphasized the importance of AI and information education and announced that it will continue to strive for continuous educational innovation and development in the future.
