세종시교육청은 12월 13일 세종시교육청교육원 컨벤션홀에서 ‘퇴직공무원 교육활동 지원단’의 발대식을 개최 했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 발대식은 퇴직공무원들이 교육 현장에서 봉사활동을 통해 학생들에게 도움을 주기 위해 개최됐다.

앞서 세종시교육청은 지난 11월 공무원연금공단 세종‧대전지부와 협력하여 ‘퇴직공무원 교육활동 지원단’을 모집하였으며, 200여 명의 인력풀을 구축하였다. 

이 지원단은 2025년부터 학교의 수요에 따라 늘봄 프로그램 운영을 지원하고, 교육 취약계층 학생들에게 후견인 역할을 하며 다양한 봉사활동을 펼칠 계획이다.

발대식에는 퇴직공무원 자원봉사자 40명과 학교지원본부, 공무원연금공단 세종‧대전지부, 지역사회 협력기관 관계자 40명 등 총 80명이 참석했다. 

행사는 총 3부로 나뉘어 진행되었으며, 제1부에서는 지원단이 캘리그라피 체험을 통해 자원봉사의 의미를 되새기고, 학생들에게 꿈과 희망을 전하는 엽서를 작성했다.

제2부에서는 작성한 엽서에 담긴 따뜻한 마음을 나누며, 학생들에게 전달할 ‘새 학년 준비 꾸러미’를 정성스럽게 제작했다. 이

제3부에서는 지원단이 세종시교육청 관계자와 자유롭게 의견을 주고받으며 교육 공헌에 대한 다양한 생각을 공유하고, 앞으로의 활동 방향을 논의하는 시간을 가졌다. 

최교진 교육감은 “학교 교육활동 지원을 위해 뜻을 모아주신 ‘퇴직공무원 교육활동 지원단’의 모든 분께 진심으로 감사드린다”며, “퇴직공무원의 전문성을 바탕으로 한 자원봉사가 세종교육의 든든한 버팀목이 되어, 아이들에게 더 큰 배움과 희망을 선사하는 연결고리가 되기를 기대한다”고 말했다.

향후 학교지원본부는 2025년 1월에 퇴직공무원 자원봉사자 전체를 대상으로 통합 공동연수(워크숍)를 진행하여, 학교교육활동 보조인력에 대한 사업별 통합 안내를 실시할 예정이다. 

이를 통해 퇴직공무원들이 교육 현장에서 더욱 효과적으로 지원할 수 있는 기반을 마련할 계획이다.

Sejong City Office of Education Holds Inauguration Ceremony for Retired Civil Servants’ Education Activity Support Group

The Sejong City Office of Education announced that it held an inauguration ceremony for the ‘Retired Civil Servants’ Education Activity Support Group’ at the Sejong City Office of Education Education Center Convention Hall on December 13.

This inauguration ceremony was held to help retired civil servants provide help to students through volunteer work at educational sites.

In November, the Sejong City Office of Education recruited the ‘Retired Civil Servants’ Education Activity Support Group’ in cooperation with the Sejong and Daejeon branches of the Civil Servants Pension Service, and established a human resource pool of approximately 200 people.

Starting in 2025, this support group plans to support the operation of the Neulbom program according to the needs of schools, act as guardians for students from educationally vulnerable groups, and carry out various volunteer activities.

A total of 80 people attended the inauguration ceremony, including 40 retired civil servant volunteers, 40 officials from the School Support Headquarters, the Sejong and Daejeon branches of the Civil Servants Pension Service, and local community cooperation organizations.

The event was divided into three parts. In the first part, the support group reflected on the meaning of volunteer work through calligraphy experience and wrote postcards conveying dreams and hopes to students.

In the second part, they shared the warm hearts contained in the postcards and carefully created ‘new school year preparation packages’ to be delivered to students.

In the third part, the support group freely exchanged opinions with Sejong City Office of Education officials, shared various thoughts on educational contributions, and discussed future directions for activities.

Superintendent Choi Kyo-jin said, “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the members of the ‘Retired Civil Servant Education Activity Support Group’ who have come together to support school education activities,” and added, “I hope that volunteer work based on the expertise of retired civil servants will become a strong support for Sejong education and a link that provides children with greater learning and hope.”

In the future, the School Support Headquarters plans to conduct an integrated joint training (workshop) for all retired civil servant volunteers in January 2025 to provide integrated guidance on each project for school education activity assistants.

Through this, we plan to establish a foundation for retired civil servants to provide more effective support in the educational field.
