대전시는 13일 시청 하늘마당(20층)에서 정년퇴직 공무직원과 그 가족, 동료 직원 등 60여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘2024년 공무직원 정년퇴임식’을 개최했다.

이번 퇴임식은 대전시 홍보대사로 활동 중인 퓨전국악밴드 ‘그라나다’의 기념공연을 시작으로, 표창 수여, 단체 기념사진 촬영, 간담회 등 다양한 프로그램으로 진행되었다.

2024년 정년퇴직 공무직원은 총 19명으로, 이들은 청소, 미화, 시설물 관리, 경비, 취사, 검침, 도로 관리 등 시민의 안전과 편의를 위해 묵묵히 어려운 일을 도맡아왔다.

이장우 대전시장은 퇴임식에서 “시정의 최일선 현장을 묵묵히 지켜온 노고에 감사드리며, 여러분들의 헌신이 있어 대전시가 더욱 건강하고 행복한 도시로 발전했다고 생각한다”고 전했다. 

이어 “항상 곁에서 가족들의 응원과 격려가 있었기에 가능한 일이기에 참석한 가족분들에게도 감사드린다”고 덧붙였다.

Daejeon Mayor Lee Jang-woo expresses gratitude to retired employees

On the 13th, Daejeon City held the '2024 Civil Servant Retirement Ceremony' at the Sky Plaza (20th floor) of the City Hall, with about 60 people in attendance, including retired civil servants, their families, and fellow employees.

The retirement ceremony began with a commemorative performance by the fusion traditional Korean music band 'Granada', which is currently serving as the Daejeon City PR ambassador, and included various programs such as award presentations, group commemorative photos, and a discussion.

A total of 19 civil servants retired in 2024, and they have quietly taken on difficult tasks for the safety and convenience of citizens, such as cleaning, beautification, facility management, security, cooking, meter reading, and road management.

At his retirement ceremony, Mayor Lee Jang-woo of Daejeon said, “I would like to thank you for your hard work in silently guarding the front lines of city administration, and I believe that Daejeon has developed into a healthier and happier city thanks to your dedication.” He added, “This was possible because of the support and encouragement of my family members who were always by my side, so I would also like to thank the families who attended.”
