대전동산초등학교병설유치원은 유아 23명을 대상으로 홍도동 행정복지센터와 연계해 지역사회의 어려운 이웃을 돕는 특별한 나눔 활동, ‘사랑의 나눔 냉장고’ 프로그램에 참여했다고 13일 밝혔다. 

홍도동 행정복지센터에서 운영 중인 ‘사랑의 나눔 냉장고’는 홍도동 주민이라면 누구나 기부하고, 독거노인 및 취약계층 등이 자유롭게 필요한 음식을 꺼내갈 수 있는 공유 냉장고다. 

이번 활동은 유치원 원아들이 직접 각 가정에서 나누고 싶은 음식(라면, 음료, 과자 등)을 가져와 기부함으로써 나눔의 가치와 공생의 의미를 배울 수 있도록 기획되었다. 

‘나눔 냉장고’는 '12월, 겨울 배움놀이 주간'과 연계하여 지역사회, 유치원, 가정이 함께 협력하는 의미있는 프로그램으로 ▲나눔의 마음 배우기, ▲사랑의 냉장고 채우기, ▲나눔 나비 만들기 활동 순으로 진행됐다.

특히, 유아들은 '사랑의 냉장고 채우기' 활동을 위해 가정에서 직접 가져온 '기부 음식'들을 지난 12일 주민센터 나눔 냉장고에 채우며, 나눔의 실천과 가치를 몸소 경험했다. 

또한, 나눔 활동 후 주변의 어려운 이웃과 함께 하는 경험을 나비모양 종이에 그림이나 글로 표현해 유치원 안팎에 전시함으로써 나눔의 가치가 나비처럼 날아가 널리 퍼지기를 바랬다.

대전동산초등학교병설유치원 노명례 원장은 “놀이중심의 참여형 교육과정인 '나눔 냉장고 활동'은 유아 인성교육에 있어 매우 실질적이고 유익하다”며 "유아기는 자아를 형성하는 시기로 올바른 인성을 함양하며 자라날 수 있도록 관련 활동이 앞으로도 꾸준히 지속되기를 바란다"고 전했다.
