대전시와 대전테크노파크, 대덕이노폴리스벤처협회는 12일 ‘D-유니콘 기업인의 날’을 맞아 3년간의 D-유니콘 프로젝트 성과를 공유하는 행사를 개최했다. 

이장우 대전시장을 비롯한 유관기관장과 D-유니콘 기업 임직원들이 참석한 가운데, D-유니콘 1기 10개 기업의 졸업식과 ‘대전기업상장지원센터’ 현판식도 함께 진행됐다.

D-유니콘 프로젝트는 지역 연구기관과의 협력을 통해 성장 잠재력이 높은 기술 기반 유망 기업을 글로벌 유니콘 기업으로 육성하는 사업으로, 대전시는 2022년부터 매년 10개 기업을 선정하여 집중 지원하고 있다. 

올해까지 총 30개 기업이 이 프로그램의 혜택을 받았다.

D-유니콘 기업으로 선정된 기업들은 3년 동안 성장 도약 및 시장 개척 자금, 글로벌 진출 및 투자 유치 연계 등의 지원을 받는다. 

이날 졸업한 1기 기업들은 기업 가치가 6285억 원 상승하고, 매출액이 1120억 원 증가했으며, 381명의 신규 고용을 창출하는 등 눈부신 성과를 기록했다. 

누적 투자 유치액은 1873억 원에 달한다.

D-유니콘 프로젝트에 참여한 30개 기업 전체의 성과도 두드러진다. 이들 기업의 기업 가치는 총 8,381억 원 증가했으며, 매출액은 1644억 원 늘었다. 

특히, 올해에는 ㈜아이빔테크놀로지가 코스닥에 상장되며, 원텍㈜, ㈜플라즈맵, ㈜와이바이오로직스에 이어 네 번째 상장 기업이 탄생했다.

또한, 302명의 고용 증가로 지역 내 유능한 인재들을 위한 일자리를 창출하고, 지역 경제 활성화에 기여하고 있다. 

프로젝트 시작 이후 누적 투자 유치 성과는 약 3,700억 원에 이른다. 2022년 12월에는 기업을 위한 핵심 비즈니스 공간인 D-유니콘라운지가 개소되어, 17000여 명의 기업인들이 이용하며 대전형 창업 생태계가 확장되고 있다.

행사에 참석한 기업들은 “D-유니콘 기업으로 선정된 자긍심을 느낄 수 있는 뜻깊은 자리였다”며, “앞으로도 대전시와 협력하여 일류 경제 도시를 이끌어가는 중견기업으로 성장하겠다”는 포부를 밝혔다.

이장우 대전시장은 “D-유니콘 프로젝트는 대전을 일류 경제 도시로 만들기 위한 중요한 기반”이라며, “혁신적인 기술력을 가진 지역 인재들이 대전에서 창업하여 유니콘 기업으로 성장할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 강조했다.
