세종시가 한국승강기안전공단과 함께 10일부터 내년 2월까지  관내 어린이집·유치원을 대상으로 승강기 내 어린이 손끼임 예방 스티커를 배포하고 안전이용 교육을 한다.

시는 이번 굥유기간동안 승강기의 올바른 이용방법을 안내하고 사고사례 교육을 통해 승강기 안전사고에 취약한 어린이의 안전사고 인식개선을 유도할 계획이다.

이달에는 총 4곳, 260명의 어린이집·유치원 재원 아동을 대상으로 교육을 진행할 예정이다. 

교육은 승강기 내부 모서리에 어린이 손끼임 방지용 보호구역 스티커를 부착하고 승강기 탑승 시 어린이를 보호구역에 위치하도록 해 출입문 사고를 예방하고 안전거리를 확보하는 데 중점을 뒀다.

승강기 안전사고 예방 캠페인·교육은 이달 시범운영을 거쳐 앞으로 관내 공동주택을 대상으로 점차 확대해 진행할 계획이다.

류제일 시민안전실장은 “승강기 안전사고 제로화를 위해 홍보·예방 활동을 활발히 펼치겠다”며 “시민 여러분도 안전한 승강기 이용 문화 정착을 위한 안전수칙 준수 등을 해 주시길 당부드린다”고 말했다.
