세종시 상하수도사업소가 9일  '세종의 맑은 물’ 공급을 가치관으로 하는  환경사회지배구조(ESG) 경영을 선포했다.

상하수도사업소는 이날 조치원 복합커뮤니티센터 소강당에서 이동윤 소장을 비롯한 전 직원 60여 명이 참석한 가운데 환경사회지배구조(ESG) 경영 선포식을 개최했다.

상하수도사업소는 지속가능한 성장을 위한 친환경 경영체계 구축(E), 상생과 안전을 기반으로 한 사회적 책임 이행(S), 시민이 신뢰할 수 있는 공정하고 투명한 경영(G)을 목표로 내세웠다.

특히 미래세대를 위한 환경보전의 중요성을 인식하고 물 자원의 효율적 관리, 에너지 절약, 환경오염물질 저감을 목표로 친환경 경영을 실천할 계획이다.

또 시민들에게 안전하고 깨끗한 물을 공급하며 지역사회와 함께 성장하는 다양한 사회공헌 활동도 이어나갈 방침이다.

이동윤 상하수도사업소장은 “환경사회지배구조(ESG) 경영 선포는 우리 사업소가 친환경·지속 가능한 물 관리를 실천하고 지역사회와 상생하겠다는 의지를 담고 있다”며 “조직 전반에 이를 내재화하고 실천해 더욱 신뢰받는 공기업이 될 것을 약속드린다”고 말했다.

한편 이날 선포식에서는 전 직원의 공감대를 형성하기 위해 환경사회지배구조(ESG) 경영 역량 강화 및 윤리 교육이 진행됐다.
