대전문화재단의 차세대 artiStar 2년차 첼리스트 원민지가 오는 12월 8일 오후 7시 대전시립연정국악원 큰마당에서 리사이틀을 개최한다.

이번 공연은 원민지가 한양대학교 관현악과에서 최초로 박사학위 우수논문상을 수상한 작품을 포함하여, 대전 지역에서 처음 소개되는 프랑스 작곡가 앙리 뒤티외의 작품으로 구성된다. 

공연의 시작은 첼로 협주곡 ‘아득히 먼 세계 전부가...’로, 피아니스트 김고운과 함께 연주될 예정이다. 이어서 뒤티외의 첼로를 위한 무반주 작품 ‘자허 이름으로 된 세 개의 절’이 선보인다. 

원민지는 관객과의 소통을 위해 곡에 대한 해설도 준비하여 공연의 몰입과 이해를 높일 계획이다.

리사이틀의 마지막 무대에서는 프랑스 상징주의 문학의 거장 샤를르 보들레르의 대표 시집 <악의 꽃>에서 영감을 받아 작곡된 뒤티외의 첼로 협주곡이 연주된다. 

한편, 원민지는 16세에 연세대학교 음악대학 최연소 입학, 독일 프라이부르크 국립음대 학사학위 취득, 줄리아드 음대 석사학위를 받으며, 콜번 음대 최고 연주자과정을 수학했다. 

국내에서는 2023년 귀국독주회를 시작으로 2023 스프링페스티벌 <브람스 아벤트>에 초청되었고, 다양한 활동을 통해 2024년에는 한국음악협회 대전광역시지회의 올해의 젊은음악가상을 수상했다. 

현재 대전예술의전당 음악영재아카데미에 출강하여 후학 양성에 힘쓰고 있다.

Daejeon Cultural Foundation Holds Recital by Next-Generation ArtiStar Cellist Won Min-ji

Daejeon Cultural Foundation's next-generation artiStar, second-year cellist Won Min-ji, will hold a recital at the Daejeon Municipal Yeonjeong Gugak Center's Big Yard at 7 p.m. on December 8.

This performance will feature works by French composer Henri Dutilleux, including the piece for which Won Min-ji was the first to receive the doctoral thesis award from Hanyang University's Department of Orchestral Music, as well as pieces by the French composer Henri Dutilleux, which will be introduced for the first time in the Daejeon area.

The performance will begin with the cello concerto 'All the Far Away World...', which will be performed with pianist Kim Go-woon. Next, Dutilleux's unaccompanied cello piece 'Three Verses in the Name of Sacher' will be performed.

Won Min-ji will also prepare commentary on the pieces to communicate with the audience, increasing immersion and understanding of the performance.

The last stage of the recital will feature Dutilleux's Cello Concerto, which was inspired by the representative poetry collection <Flowers of Evil> by Charles Baudelaire, a master of French symbolist literature.

Meanwhile, Won Min-ji was the youngest student to enter Yonsei University's College of Music at the age of 16, received a bachelor's degree from the Freiburg University of Music in Germany, a master's degree from the Juilliard School of Music, and studied at the Colburn College of Music's top performer program.

In Korea, she was invited to the 2023 Spring Festival <Brahms Avent>, starting with the 2023 homecoming solo concert, and through various activities, she won the Young Musician of the Year Award from the Daejeon Metropolitan City Chapter of the Korea Music Association in 2024.

She is currently teaching at the Daejeon Arts Center Music Talent Academy, working hard to nurture future generations.
