세종시 북부권 지역산업의 성장 거점이자 자족기능 확충 기반이 되는 전동 일반산업단지가 준공됐다.

세종시는 14일 전동면 노장리 일원에서 전동 일반산업단지 조성공사 준공식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

전동 일반산업단지는 총사업비 615억 원을 투입해 14만㎡(약 4만 2천평) 규모로 조성됐다.

주요 유치업종은 의료용 물질, 의약품, 1차 금속, 전기장비 등 제조업이며 1차로 입주하는 기업은 한국유나이티드제약㈜, ㈜동양에이케이코리아, ㈜엠케이코리아 등 3곳이다.

특히 지난 6일 기회발전특구로 지정되면서 입주기업은 세제감면과 규제특례 등을 받을 수 있게 됐다.

세종시는 기회발전특구를 적극 활용해 대규모 투자를 촉진하고 기업하기 좋은 맞춤형 산업단지로 조성해 나갈 계획이다.

전동 일반산업단지는 국도1호선과 서울-세종 고속도로(2026년 개통 예정)와 인접해 교통 접근성이 우수하고 조치원읍과 맞닿아 있어 인력확보에 유리하다는 평가를 받는다.

세종시 북부권 산업단지와 지리적으로도 가까워 산업단지 간 시너지 효과도 기대된다.
