대전시가 2025년도 생활임금 시급을 1만 1천636원으로 결정했다고 4일 밝혔다.

2025년 생활임금 시급 1만 1천636원은 올해 생활임금 1만 1천210원보다 426원(3.8%) 인상된 금액으로 고용노동부가 고시한 2025년 최저임금 1만30원보다 1천606원(16%)이 더 많은 금액이다.

이를 월급으로 환산하면 243만 1천924원(월 근로시간 209시간 기준)으로 내년 최저임금보다 월 33만 5천654원, 올해 생활임금보다 8만 9천34원이 더 많다.

내년도 생활임금 적용 대상은 시, 출자·출연 및 공사․공단 근로자와 민간위탁 저임금근로자(국·시비 포함) 약 1천854명이다. 

앞서 대전시는 지난 27일 노동자 대표, 경영자 대표, 전문가 등으로 구성된 ‘대전시 생활임금 위원회’에서 2025년도 생활임금을 결정했다.

권경민 대전시 경제국장은“생활임금은 대전시 공공부문 저임금 노동자가 인간적․문화적으로 최소한의 생활을 유지하기 위한 임금정책”이라며 “이번 생활임금 결정은 어려운 재정 및 지역경제 여건 속에서도 대전시 노동자의 삶을 위해 고민한 결과”라고 말했다.
