충남 논산시가 오는 23일부터 27일까지 5일간 논산경찰서와 합동으로 자동차세 및 차량관련 과태료 체납차량번호판 영치활동을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

이번 영치 활동은 자동차세와 차량관련 과태료를 상습 체납한 차량을 적발하고, 자동차세 체납액 일소를 위한 것으로, 관내 전 지역의 아파트 단지와 빌라 등 차량 밀집 지역을 중심으로 일제 단속을 펼칠 예정이다.

앞서 논산시는 지난 상반기에도 자동차 관련 체납의 집중적인 징수를 위해 세무과-논산경찰서 합동영치팀을 구성해 관내 전 지역을 돌면서 징수한 바 있다.

이번 하반기 체납차량 합동영치 기간에는 자동차세를 2회이상 체납한 경우(충남 외 지역 3회 이상)와 과태료를 30만원 이상 체납한 경우에 번호판을 영치하고, 불법명의차량(대포차) 및 고액 체납차량에 대해서는 인도명령, 강제견인과 같은 강력한 체납처분을 진행할 계획이다.

자동차세 및 차량관련 과태료 체납자는 합동영치 기간 전에 해당 기관에서  자진납부할 수 있으며, 합동영치 기간에 번호판이 영치된 경우 영치기관을 방문하거나 전화상담을 통하여 과태료를 납부할 경우 번호판을 반환받을 수 있다.
