불법 잠수기로 수산물을 포확한 일당이 해경에 검거됐다.

태안해양경찰서에 따르면 지난 16일 태안군 근해상에서 불법 잠수기 조업으로 해삼을 포획한 일당 4명을 수산관계법령 위반 혐의로 검거했다고 17일 밝혔다.

태안해경에 검거된 이들은 어선 A호에 잠수장비(공기통, 잠수복 등)를 싣고 출항하여 해저에 서식하는 해삼 약 100kg을 포획 중 현장에서 검거되었고, 불법 어획물 해삼 및 포획에 사용된 공기통 등 잠수장비 일체는 증거물로 압수되었다.

수산업법 제63조는 면허·허가·또는 신고어업 외의 어업을 금지하고 있으며, 특히, 어업인이 잠수장비를 착용하여 해삼을 포획할 경우 3년 이하의 징역 또는 3천만 원 이하의 벌금에 처해진다.
