충남도가 ‘국립치의학연구원 천안 설립’ 대통령 공약 이행을 촉구하기 위해 이달부터 ‘제20대 대통령 충남지역공약(Ⅵ-12) 국립치의학연구원 설립’ 조속한 이행을 염원하는 범도민 100만 명 서명운동을 전개한다고 2일 밝혔다.

이번 서명운동은 대통령 충남지역 공약 이행을 위해 도가 주도적으로 관련 법안을 마련했음에도 정부가 설립 지역을 명시하지 않아 유치 경쟁으로 인한 지역 갈등 및 행정력 낭비 등이 초래됨에 따라 설립 최적지인 천안에 국립치의학연구원이 설립될 수 있도록 도민의 의지를 결집하고자 추진한다.

100만 명 목표 달성을 위해 도는 도·시군 공무원과 관계기관, 민간단체, 지역대학, 출향인 등을 중심으로 대대적인 홍보와 함께 서명운동을 진행할 계획이다.

이를 위해 충남도는 본청과 시·군청, 의회, 직속기관, 사업소, 관계기관 내 서명운동은 물론, 각종 교육·회의·행사 진행 시 참여자의 서명을 유도하고 읍면동 행정복지센터와 역, 터미널, 마을회관, 아파트 게시판 등에도 서명부를 비치할 예정이다.
