대전시 소비자정책위원회가 2024년 도시가스 공급비용 조정안을 확정하고, 7월 1일 사용분부터 적용 하기로 결정했다. 

이번 조정안은 시민 난방비 및 소상공인의 연료비 부담 완화를 위해 주택난방용 요금은 최소 수준인 0.32%, 기타 용도의 가스요금은 용도별 형평성을 고려하여 평균 소비자요금 기준 1.12% 인상(21.7841원/MJ → 22.0280원/MJ)으로 결정했다. 

대전시는 도시가스 공급비용 산정의 공정성과 객관성을 확보하기 위해 외부 회계법인을 선정해 지난 4월 22일부터 6월 5일(45일간)까지 도시가스 공급 비용 산정 용역을 추진했다.

공급 비용 산정 용역 결과 ▲최저임금 인상 및 원자재가격 상승에 따른 비용 증가 ▲이자율 상승으로 투자보수 증가 ▲기온상승 및 경기침체에 따른 판매 열량 감소 ▲전년도 판매 열량 차이 정산 등 공급 비용 인상 요인이 있는 것으로 분석됐다.
