후반기 의장과 부의장 선거를 놓고 파행 운영되고 있는 대전시의회가 후반기 의장 선거를 위한 임시회를 재소집하게 됐다.

대전시의회는 26일 제9대 의회 후반기 의장과 부의장 선거를 위해 제279회 임시회 제1차 본회의를 열어 의장 후보에 단독 등록한 김선광(국민의힘·중구2) 후보에 대해 찬반 투표를 벌였으나 찬성 11표, 무효 11표로 부결됐다.

현행 대전시의회 기본조례 11조(의장.부의장의 선거)에 따르면 의장 선거와 관련 의장과 부의장은 의회에서 무기명 투표로 선거하되, 제적의원 과반수의 출석과 출석의원 과반수의 득표로 당선된다고 명시돼 있다.
