제76회 충남도민체전이 성공적으로 마무리 되었다.

충남 서산시는13일부터~16일까지 4일간 개최된 제76회 충청남도민체육대회가15개 시군 선수단의 열띤 각축전 결과 천안시가 종합우승의 영예를 얻었다고16일 밝혔다.

시에 따르면 13일부터~16일까지 30개 종목에서 대회를 위해 준비한 실력과 기량을 마음껏 뽐낸 선수단의 각축전은, 팽팽한 승부로 숨 막힐 듯한 긴장감을 연출했다.

천안시가 3만6천475점 1위, 서산시가 3만6천100점으로 2위, 당진시가로 3만4천250점으로 3위를 차지했다.

폐회식은 서산시민체육관에서 이루어졌으며, 이완섭 서산시장의 환송사로 제76회 충남도민체육대회를 마무리 했다.

이날 서산시민체육관에서 폐회식을 하는 과정에서 조그마한 불미스러운 일도 발생했다.

제76회 충남도민체육대회 자원봉사자로 참여한 A단체는 폐회식 행사장에서 여성노인을 A단체 회원 9명이 감싸며, 행동에 제약을 가하는 것이 포착되었다. 

현장에 있던 경찰의 말에 따르면, 여성 노인이 A단체에 위해를 가했고, 폐회식에 참석한 선수들과 시민들을 보호하기 위해 그렇게 할 수밖에 없었다고 말했다.
