충남 홍성군이 KAIST와 손잡고 내포신도시 도시첨단산업단지 내에 모빌리티 혁신생태계 구축에 나선다.

이를 위해 홍성군은 10일 군청에서 이용록 홍성군수와, 장재석 부의장을 비롯한 군의원, 장인권 모빌리티대학원장과 KAIST 관계자 등이 참석한 가운데 정책 간담회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 간담회는 지난 4월 23일 KAIST와 충남도, 홍성군이 체결한 업무협약에 따라 올해 하반기 개소를 목표로 준비 중인 KAIST 모빌리티 연구센터(이하 연구센터) 설립에 따른 KAIST의 비전과 계획을 공유하기 위해 마련됐다.

간담회에서 장기태 교수는 모빌리티 시스템 분야에서 세계 최고 수준의 전문인력 양성과 선도기술 창출의 요람을 만들겠다는 비전을 담은 연구센터 설립계획을 발표했다.
