세종시가 7일 ‘2024년 세종시 정원드림프로젝트’ 발대식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

정원드림 프로젝트는 정원 분야 실습·보육 공간 조성 사업으로, 정원 분야 전공자로 구성된 팀이 정원작가와 함께 힘을 모아 실습정원을 조성하는 국비 사업이다.

세종시가 계획하고 잇는 정원 조성 예정지는 보람동 광역복지센터 ,다정동 리틀야구장 ,고운동 복합커뮤니티센터 ,보람동 복합커뮤니티센터 ,어진동 복합커뮤니티센터 5곳이다.

올해 참가팀은 전국 정원 관련 분야 대학생과 취·창업 청년으로 구성된 수피아(경희대) ,가람슬기(단국대) ,바이탈(성균관대) ,자연주의(배재대) ,츄(단국대) 5개 팀이다.

이들은 발대식을 시작으로 약 5개월간의 활동에 돌입한다. 오는 7월까지 디자인 워크숍을 운영해 지역주민의 의견을 수렴하고 최종 정원계획안을 수립, 11월까지 정원을 조성하고 관리하게 된다.

한편 세종시는 ‘2024 정원 분야 실습·보육공간 조성사업’이 사업 참여도에 따라 최대 3년까지 계속사업으로 추진할 수 있고 3년 연속 선정 시 정원 15곳 조성에 최대 국비 11억 3,000만 원까지 지원받을 수 있는 점을 고려해 해당 사업 추진에 만전을 기할 방침이다.
