전교생이 50명(유치원 3명, 재학생 47명)이 대전에서 몇 안되는 미니학교인 대전산흥초등학교(교장 원정애)가 앵두가 빨갛게 익어가는 계절을 맞이하여 6월 5일, 산흥교육가족과 지역주민의 축제인 ‘2024학년도 앵두빌리지 Dream Festival’을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

산흥초등학교가 위치한 대전광역시 동구 상소동은 한때 대한민국 앵두의 80%를 생산하는 앵두로 번성한 마을로, 산흥초등학교 교정에는 앵두, 체리, 오디, 매실 등 다양한 유실수가 자라고 있으며, 학교 텃밭과 천연잔디 운동장, 생태연못 등이 있는 아름다운 숲 속 행복 배움터로 학생들 정서함양을 위한 최적의 교육환경을 가지고 있는 보물 같은 학교다.

지난 1949년 12월 05일 개교해 올해로 개교 74주년(분교 2년 제외)을 맞은 산흥초등학교는 2016년부터 9년째 대전형 혁신학교인 창의인재학교로 지정‧ 운영되고 있고, 2022년부터 학교 안 생태전환교육 체험장인 ‘초록꿈마당’ 사업을 지속 운영하고 있다. 

또한 전교생 1인 1악기 교육과 매년 학생음악경연대회에서 우수한 성적을 거두고 있는 산흥오케스트라 운영으로 미래 역량을 갖춘 창의융합인재를 키워내고 있다.

매년 6월 개최하고 있는 ‘산흥 앵두빌리지 Dream Festival’은 지역의 역사와 전통을 계승하고, 학생들이 숲 속 행복 배움터인 학교에서 꿈을 키워나가는 모습을 지역주민과 나누는 축제의 장으로 이번 행사에도 학생과 학부모뿐만 아니라 인근 유치원과 초등학교 학생, 지역주민까지 함께하는 재미있고 의미 있는 행사가 펼쳐졌다.

본 행사에 앞서 지난 3일과 4일에는 학생들이 나뭇가지에 알알이 맺힌 앵두와 보리수를 관찰하고 직접 따서 맛보는 활동을 통해 자연의 소중함과 수확의 즐거움을 느끼는 시간을 가졌다. 

또한 행사 당일 학교를 방문하는 인근 학교 학생과 지역주민에게 나누어 줄 앵두를 따서 준비하였고 앵두 따기 체험 후에는 교정에 조성된 생태연못 관찰하기, 산책로 걷기 활동을 통해 학교 생태숲의 소중함을 느끼는 시간을 가졌다.

6월 5일 개최된 본 행사는 1부 주제별 부스 체험 활동과 2부 산흥오케스트라의 Dream Concert로 운영되었다. 

1부 행사는 오전 9시부터 12시 10분까지 학생자치회 중심으로 생태전환교육 연계 주제별 부스체험(체험마당, 창의마당, 놀이마당)과 학부모회 지원 부스를 운영했다. 

학생자치회 프로그램으로는 3학년 천연이끼 액자 만들기, 4학년 생태숲 손거울 만들기, 5학년 나무 조각으로 동물 꾸미기, 6학년 압화 엽서 만들기 등 다양한 활동이 준비되어 있고, 다트 풍선 터뜨리기, 달고나 만들기, 페이스페인팅 등 학부모회 지원 프로그램으로 산흥교육가족 모두가 즐기는 축제가 되었다.

2부 행사는 오후 5시부터 6시까지 진행되며, 학부모님과 지역주민을 초대하여 ‘앵두빌리지 Dream Concert’가 열렸다.

2024학년도 산흥오케스트라의 첫 연주회가 될 이번 콘서트에서는 산흥초등학교병설유치원 원아와 1, 2학년 학생의 무용과 연주, 산흥오케스트라의 아름다운 연주로 구성되며, 앵두 열매가 익어가는 교정에 아름다운 선율이 울려 퍼졌다. 

한편 산흥초등하교에는 유치원생 3명과 1학년 4명, 2학년 4명, 3학년 8명, 4학년 10명, 5학년 9명, 6학년 12명 등 전교생 50명이 앵두와 함께 숲과 함께 진환경 교육을 받고 있다.
