세종시가 10일 치러지는 제22대 국회의원선거에서 유권자로서 소중한 한 표를 행사할 것을 적극 독려하고 있다.

최민호 시장은 9일 열린 간부회의에서 “선거는 국민의 뜻이 전달되는 통로”라며 국민의 기본 권리인 소중한 한 표를 행사함에 있어서 문제가 없도록 철저히 준비할 것을 관계 공무원들에게 지시했다.

이 자리에서 최민호 시장은 투표는 국가의 운명을 좌우할 지도자를 뽑는 것이라며 자신과 국가의 운명을 결정하는 투표권을 귀하게 여겨야 한다고 강조했다.

앞서 시는 투표 참여를 높이기 위해 세종시선거관리위원회에서 제공한 제22대 국회의원선거 행정방송 음원을 각 마을과 아파트 관리사무소에 공유했다.

또 다수가 왕래하는 청사 및 관내 지정 게시대, 버스정류장 버스안내단말기 등에 선거일 정보 제공을 담은 현수막을 설치하고 홍보 포스터를 비치하는 등 투표 독려에 총력을 기울이고 있다.

시의 적극적인 홍보에 따라 지난 5일과 6일 양일간 진행된 사전투표에서 세종시는 전국 평균 31.28%보다 5.52.% 높은 36.80%의 투표율을 기록하며 전국 4위를 기록했다.
