대전 중구가 문창초등학교 연계 문창공공도서관 건립을 추진하게 됐다.

중구에 따르면 교육부에서 추진하는 2024년 학교복합시설 공모사업에 문창공공도서관(가칭)이 최종 선정됐다고 2일 밝혔다.

학교복합시설 공모사업은 지자체와 교육청이 협력하여 학교의 유휴부지에 주민과 학생이 함께 이용할 수 있는 문화, 체육, 보건, 복지, 돌봄, 평생학습 등 다양한 기능을 갖춘 시설 조성을 지원하는 사업이다.

중구는 이번 공모사업 선정으로 교육부 지원금 등 사업비를 확보하고, 지하1층, 지상4층 규모로 문창초등학교 내 공공도서관 건립을 추진한다.

도서관 내에는 열람실, 자료실, 다목적 강당, 교육공간, 문화공간, 늘봄교육공간 등 여가와 교육의 복합시설로 조성하여 주민들과 학생들이 쉽고 편리하게 이용할 수 있도록 지원할 방침이다.
