대전시가 청년들의 주거비용 부담을 완화하고 안정적인 주거 생활  지원을 위해 대전거주 청년을 대상으로 월 20만 원씩 최대 12개월간 월세를 지원한다고 29일 밝혔다.

대전시에 따르면 올해부터는 청년정책에 대한 전담·전문기관으로서 새롭게 출범한 대전청년내일재단을 통해 월세지원 사업을 수행할 예정이다. 

신청 조건은 신청일 기준 대전시에 주소를 둔 19~39세 이하의 무주택 청년 가구로서, 기준 중위소득 150%*이하이고 임차보증금 1억 원 이하 및 월세 60만 원 이하의 주택이나 대학 또는 회사 기숙사, 고시원, 주거용 오피스텔 등에 거주해야 한다. 

2인 이상의 가구일 경우, 신청자는 청년에 해당하는 무주택 세대주여야 하며 세대주를 포함한 세대원 전원이 무주택자여야 한다.

지원 금액은 월 최대 20만 원, 12개월까지 240만 원이며, 월 임차료가 20만 원 미만이면 실제 납부하는 임차료 금액만큼 지원한다.

선정 인원은 최대 1500명이며, 시는 하반기에 1500명을 추가로 선정하여 올해 총 3000명을 지원한다는 계획이다. 

신청 기간은 4월 1일부터 12일까지 약 2주간이다.
