대전에서 허위로 112 신고를 한 음주운전자가 구속됐다.

대전유성경찰서에 따르면 무면허 상태에서 음주운전을 하며 112로 허위신고를 해 정상적인 경찰업무수행을 방해한 A씨(남, 20대)를 위계에의한공무집행방해 등의 혐의로 구속하고 대전지방검찰청에 송치했다고 4일 밝혔다.

검찰에 구속 송치된 A씨는 지난해 10월 19일 03시경 술을 마신 상태에서 본인 소유의 B승용차량을 이용하여 대전 전역에 걸쳐 약 30km를 운전하며 2회에 걸쳐 112에 전화를 걸어 ‘자신이 술을 먹었는데 운전하고 싶다, 제발 잡아달라, 죽고 싶다, 내 차는 스포츠카라서 못 잡을 거다’라며 신고를 했다고 경찰은 밝혔다.

경찰은 긴급상황으로 판단, B차량의 예상 이동경로에 따라 약 90분 동안 순찰차 22대를 순차적으로 출동시키며 B차량을 추격하였고, A씨는 경찰의 추격을 피해 달아나다가 04시30분경 대전 유성구 소재 00주차장 내에서 경찰에 의해 검거되었다.
