여야가 4월 총선 후보 선출을 위한 경선에 돌입한 가운데 그동안 정중동의 자세를 취하고 있던 대전시의회 이효성 의원(국민의힘,대덕구2)이 대덕구에 출마하고 있는 박경호 예비후보 지지의사를 밝혔다.

이효성 의원은 25일 늦은 밤 언론에 보낸 문자메시지를 통해 "대덕구 발전을 넘어 성과를 내고, 보여줄 후보가 박경호 예비후보라 믿어 지지 선언을 하게됐다"고 박 후보 지지의사를 분명히 밝혔다.

이효성 의원은 이어 "박경호 예비후보 지지선언을 하기 위해 지금 이순간 까지 고민을 해왔고, 그결과 박경호 예비후보가 대덕구 발전을 실질적으로 이루어 낼 후보라 판단해 지지를 한다"고 전했다.

박경호 예비후보를 지지하게 된 이효성 의원은 "과연 대덕구 발전을 위해 누가 일을 해낼 수 있고, 누가 대덕을 위해 말뿐이 아닌 행동으로 보여줄 수 있을까? 고민한 결과 박경호 예비후보를 선택 했다"고 전했다.

경선 여론조사를 앞두고, 이효성 대전시의원이 박경호 예비후보 지지를 공식화 하면서 그의 지지선언이 경선 결과에 어떤 영향을 미치게 될 지 관심이 모아진다.
