박범인 충남 금산군수가 민선8기 금산군정의 비전 ‘생명의 고향 금산 세계로 미래로!’ 비전 실현을 위해 금산인삼 불모지 진출을 위한 세계화 도전에 나선다.

금산군은 인도차이나반도의 태국, 캄보디아, 라오스, 베트남, 말레이시아 중 베트남을 제외한 나머지 국가들은 금산인삼 불모지로 지정한 가운데, 박 군수가 2024년 첫 해외 방문일정으로 오는 26일부터 내달 3일까지 7일간 태국 파타야, 캄보디아 씨엠립주‧반테이민체이주 등을 찾는다고 밝혔다.

박 군수는 태국 파타야에서 27일부터 29일까지 일정으로 열리는 2024 피나클어워즈 및 세계축제협회 아시아축제 컨퍼런스에 참석해 금산세계인삼축제 발표로 금산 브랜드를 선전할 계획이다.

이 행사는 세계축제협회 아시아지부에서 주관했으며 대한민국, 태국, 베트남, 라오스, 필리핀, 중국 등 10개국 지자체 관계자 300여 명이 참석한다. 

아시아 축제도시 전시 및 소개와 함께 교육프로그램, 시상, 토의 등이 진행되며 토의 패널로 박 군수가 참여해 금산세계인삼축제 세계화 포부 및 글로벌 축제 비전을 제시할 예정이다.

캄보디아 방문에서는 금산인삼 홍보, 관광‧문화교류 및 지역산업체의 근로자 부족 해소를 위한 협력 논의 등에 나설 방침이다.

지난해 제41회 금산세계인삼축제에 방문했던 캄보디아의 오움 리트레이 반테이민체이주지사 및 프락 소포안 씨엠립주지사는 금산군과 교류를 희망하는 의사를 표현하기도 했다.

박범인 금산군수는 “금산군의 세계화를 위해 지금까지 국제적 인적 네트워크를 강화하고 협력 방안을 구상하는 등 노력을 이어왔다”며 “올해부터는 자신감을 가지고 가시적인 성과를 군민께 보여드릴 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
