대전시가 민선 8기 이장우 시장이 시민들과의 약속사업인 공약이행 상황에 대한 자체평가를 실시한 결과 완료 14개 사업, 정상추진 70개 사업 등 전반적으로 정상 추진중인 것으로 나타났다고 21일 밝혔다. 

대전시에 따르면 민선8기 공약 5대 분야 87개 사업을 대상으로 지난해 1년간 공약실천계획 대비 추진실적 및 사업별 이행현황 등을 분석한 결과 완료사업은 대전음악창작소 확충, 어린이집 반별 운영비 확대, 70세 이상 버스비 무료화 등 14개(16.1%)였다.

완료 사업 이외에 정상추진 하고 있는 사업은 70개(80.5%)로 대전0시축제 중앙투자심사 통과, 서남부종합스포츠타운 조성사업 GB 조건부 해제 완료, 나노·반도체산업단지조성 기본계획수립(시-LH-도시공사협약체결) 및 사업타당성조사 용역착수, 고속도로 문화재, 대전육교 공간디자인 용역착수 등 사업단계별 로드맵에 따라 추진중으로 확인됐다.

대전시는 지난해 12월 실효성 있는 공약 이행을 위해, 사업의 구체화, 대내외 여건 변화에 따른 재설계, 세수 감소 및 건전재정 운영에 따른 투자계획 등을 반영하여 전문가로 구성된 정책자문단의 의견수렴을 거쳐 글로벌 융복합클러스터 조성 등 38개 공약사업 계획을 변경하고 소요 예산을 55조 6천437억 원에서 36조 5천878억 원으로 조정했다. 

이장우 대전시장은 “민선8기 반환점을 맞아 어려운 여건 속에서도 대전시 전 공직자들은 모든 역량을 결집하여 공약 이행에 최선을 다하고 있다”라며 “앞으로도 공약사업을 계획대로 추진해 일류경제도시로 도약할 수 있는 발판을 만들겠다”라고 강한 의지를 밝혔다.
