대전시와 KAIST, 퀘벡주가 20일 박영규 대전시 국제관계대사, 프란시스 파라디스 주한 퀘벡정부 대표부 수석대표, 임만성 KAIST 국제협력처장, 발레리 보이소노 퀘벡 국제투자기관 혁신지역소장이 참석한 가운데 KAIST 본원에서 ‘세계적 수준의 양자 생태계 얽힘(Entanglement of World-class Quantum Ecosystems)'을 주제로 네트워크 미팅을 추진했다고 밝혔다.

이번 네트워크 미팅은 대전시, KAIST, 퀘벡, 한국표준과학연구원(KRISS)이 참여하여 최첨단 양자연구 소개 등 정보공유와 협력 방안을 모색하기 위해 마련됐다.

이날 네트워크 미팅 발표는 KAIST의 양자 연구 및 퀘벡과의 잠재적 협력(김은성 KAIST 양자대학원장), 셜브룩(Sherbrooke) 양자 연구소 최첨단 양자 연구 소개(알렉산더 블레 박사/ 퀘벡 양자연구소 과학책임자) ,한국의 양자 정책 및 KRISS의 양자 연구 소개(여환섭 수석연구원/ KRISS) ,퀘벡-한국 간 성공적인 연구 협력과 기회(베즈마 벤레드젬 박사 / 퀘벡정부 서울주재 과학자) ,퀘벡의 혁신적인 양자 기관 소개(올리비에 가뇽 고르딜로 / 퀘벡 양자 책임자) 등 최신 양자 연구 소개와 양국 간의 협력 방안을 주요 내용으로 진행됐다.

한편, 대전시는 양자산업 육성을 위해 대덕 퀀텀 밸리 조성 업무협약(MOU) 체결 ,대전시 양자 산업 육성을 위한 조례 제정 ,KAIST 양자대학원 지원 ,양자 산업 인프라 구축(양자 팹, 양자 테스트 베드) 등 양자 과학기술을 기반으로 한 지역 산업 육성을 위해 노력하고 있다.
